When Electro-Motive has both the responsibility for the routing and payment of the transport costs, which include all inbound movements to Electro-Motive facilities, and shipments to other locations as directed by EMD the following instructions are to be followed. Please review the information below and update your records / staff accordingly.

Landstar Global Logistics will be the 3PL provider for North American Truck Load, LTL, and Surface Expedite movements.

Definitions: Electro-Motive defines North America as "all shipments within or between Canada, the United States and Mexico. International / Offshore is defined as "all shipments from/to North America and other Countries" International Information is located under Routing Instructions for destination location ELECTRO MOTIVE DIESEL US Operations or ELECTRO MOTIVE DIESEL CANADA Operations

When the freight (INCO) Terms shown on the purchase order indicate that EMD is responsible for the freight costs and the material is being sent to an EMD location, mark the bill of lading "COLLECT". If the material is being sent to a NON-EMD location, consign the bill of lading to "Electro-Motive Diesel Inc" in care of the non EMD Location marked "COLLECT THIRD PARTY BILLING".

Prepayment and invoicing of freight charges to EMD is not allowed on any shipments without prior written approval from an EMD ISC Procurement Team Member.

Do not insure or show released value on the bill of lading unless specifically instructed to do so in writing by EMD.

Do not ship C.O.D. to EMD: we will refuse the freight at our dock and instruct the carrier to return it to the supplier at their expense.
