Mission Statement

“EMD Women’s Council is a creative, learning, flexible team that serves the employee at EMD by designing and implementing strategies which will encourage a work environment that allows all employees to be their productive best -- thereby adding value to our company and our customers. Through its success, EMD Women’s Council will help all of EMD recognize the power of teamwork that can result from a diverse and enthusiastic workforce which in turn, has a positive impact on the profitability of EMD.”

Women’s Council Subcommittees

The EMD Women’s Council also sponsors a $1,500 scholarship through the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). The scholarship is presented annually to a young woman who plans to pursue a college degree in the field of science or engineering. The award is designed to help offset educational expenses.
