Navigation
The EMD website has been structured so as to make any information
available to users with the least amount of effort. There are three
main navigation functions designed for ease of use: menu bar, contents,
bread crumb.
1. Menu Bar
The expandable menu bars on the left side of the page are the primary
tool for navigating the website. All information is intuitively
categorized into a heirarchy. The general categories shown in the
default view expand to reveal sub-categories when the pointer is
moved over the name. This allows the user to "drill down"
to the desired information with a minimal number of mouse clicks.
2. Contents

The contents menu displays the various web pages that are either
below the current category or within the same category. This allows
users to easily navigate between similar pages in order to make
comparisons or evaluations.
3. Bread Crumb

The bread crumb is a special function of the website designed to
let the user know where they are within the site at all times. The
bread crumb shows the information hierarchy and allows you to link
back to any level of the hierarchy at all times.
